Our Philosophy PDF Print E-mail

ImageOur philosophy at Open Enterprise Solutions is based on integrity, empowerment and community. We are sincere in the belief that as a company, we cannot claim success or take pride in our work or accomplishments unless our clients are 100% satisfied with our services and products. The owner of Open Enterprise Solutions, Johnny Stork, made the move to a technology and business consulting career based on the personal belief that the attributes of openness, community and collaboration, which are at the heart of the open-source development model, could be utilized in many other areas such as global politics, economics and business development. We at Open Enterprise Solutions believe our standards for quality, honesty, integrity and openness are our greatest assets, even more important than our experience and knowledge of technology and information systems. Another way to describe the philosophy of our company, is with the word "Ubuntu". Ubuntu is a South African ideology which means "humanity towards others." or "I am because we are." Another translation could be: "The belief in a universal bond of sharing that connects all humanity". The popularity of this humanitarian ideology is reflected in the ever-growing popularity of a new Linux distribution of the same name "Ubuntu Linux", as well as the creation of the "World Forum Of Civil Society Network".

So how does our philosophy translate into a business model? First and foremost, you can rely on us to be 100% honest and upfront with regards to your business needs and any solutions that we feel are in your best interest as a company. If we do not believe we have the necessary skills or services to best meet your needs, and our competitor does, then we will encourage you to consider the services offered by them. If we ever have any doubts as to the suitability or lack of industry consensus towards any solution we may offer, we will provide you with all of our resources, research and support, including opposing viewpoints in order that you can make your own informed decision as to the suitability of our recommendations. We are not interested in simply "getting your business", we are solely concerned with leaving behind a system, business process or technology solution which is vastly superior to what was previously utilized, with minimal if any software acquisition costs, a high degree of interoperability with other systems and a degree of "future-proofing" to ensure long-term reliability. Our goal is to foster a relationship based on trust, collaboration and expertise and if we can earn your trust and confidence, and make your business more profitable and easier to manage, then we have done our job.
